Today, H.H Pope Tawadros II Consecrated Sts. Mary and Anthony’s Church at Badr City along with the alters of Virgin’s Mary Church upstairs and St. Anthony downstairs, the Father’s bosom and the icons of both churches.
H.H arrived today at seven in the morning and unveiled the memorial plaque that commemorates the inauguration of the church, before the beginning of the inauguration prayers.
Some of the church’s pontiffs shared in the inauguration prayers, and they are: H.G Bishop Danial, Bishop of Maadi and Holy Synod Secretary, H.G Bishop Domadious, Bishop of 6th October City, H.G Bishop Angelos, General Bishop of Northern Shoubra, H.G Bishop Theophilus, Bishop of Manfalout, H.G Bishop Sidarous, General Bishop of Izbet El-Nakhl, Fr. Sergius Sergius, Patriarchal Vicar in Cairo and the church’s priests also shared in the prayers
Today, Six alters have been consecrated by the Pope and the five bishops along with the Father’s bosom and the icons.

Virgin’s Mary alter upstairs:
The main alter named by Virgin Mary and St. Joseph the Carpenter
The maritime front alter named by St. Mina and St Pope Kyrollos VI
The tribal side alter named by St. George and St. Philopateer
St Anthony’s alters downstairs:
The main alter named by St. Anthony and St. Paul
The maritime front alter named by the three Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael
The tribal side alter named by St. Demiana and St. Marina
