Today at the Papal Residence at Cairo, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received Mr. Nazih Al-Najari, the new Egypt’s ambassador to Russia, where H.H. gave him an overview of the history of the various Orthodox churches. As he also referred to our good relationship with the Russian Church and the exchange of various delegations of monks and nuns, seminaries, social service and the media.
The dialogue also revolved around the two visits of H.H. the Pope to Russia in 2014 and 2017, along with the Church’s interest in taking care of her children, students who study in different universities in Russia.
