Today at the Papal Residence at Cairo, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received Ylva Johansson, the European Union Commissioner for Home Affairs and her accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, H.H. the Pope talked about the Egyptians’ unity and the existence of all of them around the Nile River, and by that enjoying our strong national unity. H.H. also talked about the history of the Coptic Orthodox Church as one of the oldest churches in the world.
A dialogue took place about illegal immigration, and H.H. pointed out that good education is an important basis for illuminating this phenomenon.
Another dialogue took place about the development projects carried out by the Egyptian government in a way that confirms its interest in bringing about real change, noting that all Egyptians are now working diligently to build the new republic.
