Today, the Holy Liturgy of the ninth Anniversary of H.H. Pope Tawadros II’s sitting in the Holy Seat of St. Mark in Egypt in the Church of the Transfiguration, at the Logos Center in the Papal Residence at St. Bishoy’s Monastery at Wadi El-Natrun.
H.H. prays the Liturgy, in a joyous spiritual atmosphere, with 96 Metropolitans and Bishops, and the vicars of the Patriarchal in Cairo and Alexandria, members of the Holy Synod, participating in the eighth Seminar of the Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church, whose activities are currently taking place, at the Logos Center, entitled “The Viewer from Above” and with the slogan “Towards a Targeted, Fruitful, Growing Church” whose topics include a number of issues related to the development of Church’s work, with the participation of the Coptic Institute for Church Administration & Development (COPTICAD).
H.G. Bishop Tawadros, the General Bishop of the Patriarchal Seat, was on Sunday, the 18th of November 2012, to become Pope Tawadros II, the one hundred and eighteenth patriarch in the chain of Popes of the Coptic Orthodox Church, which extends for nearly 2000 years, since the preaching of St. Mark (one of the apostles of Christ) in Egypt.
H.H. has led the Church towards developing tools and mechanisms for pastoral, educational and administrative work in accordance with institutional thought, in line with the changes of the times since his inauguration, so that the children of the Church find in their Church the entity capable of embracing them and understanding their needs, so that she can thus nourish them with the required spiritual and faith education.
