H.H. Pope Tawadros II preached his weakly sermon at Wednesday meeting this evening from the Papal residence in Cairo. It was aired exclusively through Cristian’s channels and C.O.C channel that is affiliated to the church’s media center via internet without audience.
His Holiness completed his series of studies in Psalm 37, where he dealt with verse 37: “Look at the perfect and see the upright, for the outcome is for the person of peace.”
1- A heavenly dimension: “Notice the perfect”: the perfect always sets his eyes on our Lord.
2- An inner dimension: “See the straight one”: it is uprightness with oneself.
3- An external dimension: “the heel of a person of safety”: to make peace with others.
He also pointed out three factors that hinder human integrity:
A- Extremism, in general, in speech, behavior, or thought.
B – Pride, “pride before the collapse, and arrogance before falling.”
C- Hypocrisy, “These people drew near to me with their mouth and honored me with their lips, but their heart kept them far away from me” (Isa 29:13).
His Holiness emphasized that integrity makes a person wise in various aspects of his life and in all his responsibilities, whether in the home, service, society, or work, through education and example, and the conformity of his teachings with his actions.
H.H. started from the beginning of September a new serious of sermons in his weekly Wednesday’s meeting throw out Psalm 37 titled by “Lessons of Wisdom” and the “Righteousness & Peace” subject is the Sixteenth lesson in this serious.
