His Holiness Pope Tawadros received, on Friday, Major General Hisham Amna, Governor of Beheira, and a delegation of the governorate’s leaders, at the monastery of St. Bishoy in Wadi El Natroun, to offer congratulations on Christmas.

His Holiness welcomed the governor and the accompanying delegation, pointing out that the meeting will be held in the monastery of Saint Bishoy, which is one of the monasteries built since the fourth century AD and has a great history, as well as the ancient Beheira governorate, which includes many Islamic and Christian monuments, and we meet with the beginning of a new year and celebrate Christmas The glorious one who divided time into before and after Christ, which took place in a small town (Bethlehem), which was a submerged village and became historical after the birth of Christ.
His Holiness added that we learn several messages from the birth of Christ, including the concern for childhood, especially in the villages, which we are currently witnessing with the governorate’s efforts within the presidential initiative
“A Dignified Life” seeks to take care of villages, especially in the sectors of childhood, health and education, which is a reflection of the President’s directives to all leaders.
For his part, Major General Hisham Amna pointed out that His Holiness the Pope has given many lessons in patriotism and gives proverbs and sermons with its religious and patriotic value, “He is one of the heroes who made the country stable”.
