Today at the Papal Residence, Cairo, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received H.G. Bishop Biemen, Bishop of Naqada & Qus, and member of the tripartite committee supervising the Diocese of Nag Hammadi.
On behalf of the committee, His Grace presented a report to His Holiness the Pope on pastoral work in the Diocese of Nag Hammadi.
His Holiness had issued Papal Decree No. 18 of 2021, forming a tripartite committee to administer the Diocese of Nag Hammadi, given the health conditions experienced by His Grace Bishop Kyrolos, Bishop of the diocese, after studying the pastoral situation in it through a meeting of His Holiness with the Synod of its priests.
The committee consisted of H.G. Bishop Biemen, Bishop of Naqada & Qus, H.G. Bishop Youannes, Bishop of Assiut, H.G. Bishop Bigol, Bishop & Abbot of St. Mary Muharraq Monastery.
