Today, H.H Pope Tawadros II attends “Al-Manara” performance at the papal residence in Alexandria, as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Theological College in Alexandria by the late Pope Shenouda III in 1972.
“Al-Manara” performance included the important role of theological education and preaching in preserving the Christian faith throughout the history of the Church, that was presented by the “Heroes of the Faith” team from St. Virgin Mary and St. Joseph’ church in Smouha. The performance was also attended by H.G. Bishop Pavly, General Bishop of Montaza, H.G. Bishop Elarion, General Bishop of West Alexandria, H.G. Bishop Hermina, General Bishop of East Alexandria, in addition to Fr. Abraam Emil, Patriarchal Vicar in Alexandria; and a number of Alexandrian priests, students and graduates of the College, and members of the church.
