Today, H.H Pope Tawadros II received His Beatitude Cardinal Moran Mor Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East for the Catholic Maronites in Lebanon, accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop George Shehan, Maronite Metropolitan in Egypt, and an accompanying delegation from the Maronite Church, at the papal residence in Cairo.
H.H. the Pope welcomed His Beatitude Maronite Patriarch and the accompanying delegation, in Egypt and to the Coptic Church.
For welcoming Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, there were H.G. Bishop Danial, Bishop of Maadi and Holy Synod Secretary, H.G. Bishop Yolios, General Bishop of Coptic Cairo and the Bishopric of public and social services, H.G. Bishop Angelos, General Bishop of Northern Shoubra, H.G. Bishop Eklemandos, General Bishop of Almaza, Amal City & East Nasr City, Mr. Gerges Saleh, Coordinator of Relations for the Coptic Church in the Middle East Council of Churches, and a number of priests, members of H.H’s secretary, and some deacons of the Theological College.
