H.H Pope Tawadros II witnessed the celebration of Mother’s Day at Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, that was held today evening at the center.
H.G. Bishop Ermia, General Bishop and Head of the Coptic Orthodox Cultural Center, and Dr. Maya Moursi, Head of the National Council for Women, delivered speeches.
In H.H. Pope Tawadros II’s speech, he praised each and every Egyptian mother by this day, referring that the word “Mother” is taken from “God is Love” and that is true, as God’s love is poured out into the human heart through the love of a mother. H.H. confirmed that every mother is a message from God to Man.
At the end of the ceremony, a number of ideal mothers were honored, who had stories of struggle during which they led their families to success and excellence or those who provided distinguished ecclesiastical and social services, as well as women who succeeded and excelled in several fields, including Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, Dr. Maya Morsi, Dr. Hala Salah El-Din, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Qasr Al-Ainy, and Mrs. Manar Selim, Martyr Colonel of Staff of War Ahmed Mansi’s wife.
