The Coptic Orthodox Church headed by H.H. Pope Tawadros II mourns the heroic martyrs of the homeland, the sons of the armed forces, who were martyred today while protecting their position against a treacherous terrorist attack in western Sinai.
As we mourn our homeland Egypt in its painful affliction, we appreciate the precious sacrifice made by these heroes, and affirm our support for our valiant armed forces that always confront terrorism alongside the Egyptian police, and we also ask God for condolences to the families of the martyrs, and a speedy recovery for the injured.
May God protect our beloved Egypt, safe and stable, and on the path of development.
