Today, H.H. Pope Tawadros II received His Beatitude Cardinal Mar Louis Raphael I Sako, Patriarch of the Chaldean Catholic Church in Iraq and all the world, at the papal residence in Cairo. He is currently visiting Egypt to participate in the General Assembly of the Middle East Council of Churches, which is expected to be held in the hospitality of the Coptic Orthodox Church next week.
H.H. welcomed His Beatitude the Patriarch and the delegation accompanying him, expressing his happiness with this visit. As for His Beatitude Cardinal, he thanked H.H. for the warm reception.
H.G Bishop Danial, Bishop of Maadi and the Holy Synod Secretary, H.G Bishop Yolios, General Bishop of Coptic Cairo and Standing Committee Member, Fr. Kyrillos Ava Bishoy, director of H.H. office, Fr. Mousa Ibrahim, the official spokesman for the Coptic Orthodox Church and Mr. Gerges Saleh, coordinator of relations between the Coptic Church and the churches of the Middle East.
