Today at the Papal Residence in Cairo, His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received a delegation of African media professionals at the end of their two-week visit to Egypt.
This meeting comes in light of the keenness of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development in the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the delegation visits St. Mark’s Cathedral every year to meet with His Holiness.
During the meeting, His Holiness gave them an overview of the history of Egypt and the Coptic Church, stressing that our unity in Egypt is a natural unity because of the Nile River, around which all Egyptians live.
His Holiness also spoke about the service of our Coptic Church in African countries, referring to the medical and educational services provided by the Church to African communities, most notably Hope Hospital in Kenya and a school of technology in Burundi.
His Holiness called on his guests to be advocates of peace and love, saying: “On the occasion of your visit to Egypt, and since you represent the media and newspapers in your country, I invite you to always be advocates of peace and love, for a person lives a little or a lot on earth and then his life ends and God looks at the man with love. which he presented, and God asks each of us to work with love for his fellow man, so always be advocates of peace and love to make a new world, for, without love, human life is lost, so there is no life without love, and love is what makes there life”.His Holiness Pope Tawadros II receives an African media delegation
