His Holiness Pope Tawadros II prayed this evening, Tuesday, the eve of Christ’s entry into the land of Egypt, at St. Demiana’s Monastery, Al-Barari in the wilderness of Belqas.
Several bishops, priests, deacons, nuns, and church members participated in the prayers.
After the evening, the choir team presented a paragraph of hymns, and then His Grace Bishop Marcos, Bishop of Damietta and Kafr El-Sheikh, and the Abbot of the monastery gave a speech of welcome and thanks to His Holiness, who began his pastoral visit to the diocese and the monastery this morning.
His Holiness also delivered a speech on the occasion of the celebration commemorating the entry of the Holy Family into Egypt, about how man makes his family sacred to God amid the challenges of the times and what the world presents today, and for the family to be as desired by Christ because he is the origin of the family and him who binds it together, through:
1- Love.
2- Dialogue.
3- Freedom.
