His Holiness Pope Tawadros II prayed, today evening, the prayers of the Eve of the 10 New Bishops Ordination, at the Nativity Cathedral in the New Administrative Capital.
With the participation of 98 Metropolitans, Bishops and Patriarchal Vicars in Cairo and Alexandria, and the congregations of the monks of the monastery of St.Pachomius in Hajer Edfu, and St. John the Short on El Alamein Road, and the councils of priests and the people of the dioceses to which the bishops will be ordained today.

The ordination rite, which will be completed in the Divine Liturgy tomorrow morning, included the passage of the procession of the monks nominated for the episcopate among the people to get to know them, read the episcopal pledge, and paint the episcopal service clothes.
Then His Holiness took the first step of the ordination of the new bishops which is held as the last steps in the evening prayer, and the rest of the ordination takes place during the liturgy. It is the rite of invocation, His Holiness called the monks the new episcopal names and attributes, and they are:
Hegumen Monk Arsanious St. Pakhomious, as the Bishop & Abbot of St. Pakhomious Monastery, Hagir Edfu, Aswan, in the name of His Grace Bishop Arsanious.
Hegumen Monk Discoros El-Baramousy, as the Bishop & Abbot of St. John the Short’s Monastery, El Alamein Road, in the name of His Grace Bishop Discoros.
Hegumen Monk Iziedoros St. Bishoy, as the Bishop of Aswan, Kom Ombo & Edfu, in the name of His Grace Bishop Bishoy.
Hegumen Monk Yaqoub St. Antony, as the Bishop of Bani Mazar & Bahnasa, in the name of His Grace Bishop Anianos.
Hegumen Monk Philopateer El-Sinaei, as the Bishop of Shebin El-Qanater, in the name of His Grace Bishop Nofer.
Hegumen Monk Bisanti St. Bishoy as the Bishop of Abnoub, Fattah & New Assiut and Abbot of St. Mina Monastery, Abnoub, in the name of His Grace Bishop Bisanti.
Hegumen Monk Epiphanius El-Muharraqi, as a General Bishop of Mahalla Kubra, in the name of His Grace Bishop Ignatius.
Hegumen Monk Thomas St. Thomas, as a General Bishop and an assistance to His Grace Bishop Sawerous, Bishop & Abbot of St. Thomas & St. Vector Monasteries, Khatatbah, in the name of His Grace Bishop Thomas.
Hegumen Monk Archilides Anthony, as a General Bishop in Toronto & Middle Canada, in the name of His Grace Bishop Archilides.
