Today at the Papal Residence at St. Bishoy’s Monastery, Wadi El Natroun, H.H. Pope Tawadros II met H.G. Bishop Elarion, Bishop of Red Sea, accompanied by some priests, and a group of servants of the diocese.
His Holiness began the meeting with prayer, and then got acquainted with the sectors in which the attendees serve, including the servants. His Holiness also gave them a brief idea about the Logos Center, which hosted the meeting, in terms of its components and the services it provides.
Then His Holiness delivered a speech entitled “Servant and Service” through Saint Paul the Apostle’s second letter to his student Timothy, chapter four.
His Holiness pointed out that service is: a gift, honesty, and responsibility. And that the signs of the servant are: a true witness of Christ, a strong teacher of Christ, a great lover of Christ.
He also talked about important experiences of the servant, namely: the place (the room), the time (the prayer), and the entity (the maturity). The server skills are time management, creative thinking, and successful communication.
And His Holiness indicated that the signs of the servant’s enjoyment of experience are: joyful, pleasant to be present, open-minded, broad-minded, and multi-faceted.
His Holiness listened to the attendees’ questions and answered them. In conclusion, he presented them with a souvenir, and they were keen to take memorial photos with His Holiness the Pope.
