His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, at the start of his pastoral visit to the Diocese of Austria, consecrated the altar of the Church of St. Macarius the Great, located in St. Anthony’ Monastery in Ober-Siebenbrunn near Vienna. Then, His Holiness consecrated two altars in St. Anne’s Convent in Schönefeld, the first after the name of St. Anne and the second after Saints Barbara and Juliana.

His Holiness delivered a sermon entitled “The Path of Holiness” through four examples of the saints of the month of July, namely the strong St. Moses, St. Bishoy, St. Marina, and St. Abanoub.

H.G. Bishop Gabriel, Bishop of Austria, participated in the consecration of the three altars, and H.G. Bishop Marcos, Bishop of Damietta, Kafr El Sheikh, and ElBarari, participated in the consecration of the altar of St. Macarius.
