Today, evening, H.H Pope Tawadros II delivered his weekly Wednesday speech at the papal residence in El Abbasia, it was broadcasted threw the Cristian channels and C.O.C channel followed up by the Church’s Media Center on the Internet without an audience.
H.H continued the new educational series “The Marriage Union” as a basis for building a holy Christian family, where he dealt with Psalm 19 of the Book of Psalms, and pointed out the value of God’s word in the family, and the presence of spiritual life through the Bible within the home, as one of the factors for the success of the family as the Bible is:

Good for every day, and God’s word does not offer, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Heb 13:8).

It is valid for everything because it speaks of man and his nature.

He talks about God’s message to you, as God’s relation with humans does not change.
H.H recommended the importance of acquiring the Bible and gave advice to the couple on how to read the Bible through:
1- That they have a love for the Bible, and read it in an orderly and regular manner with commitment.
2- The reading should be with understanding, concentration, and voice, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the heavens proclaim the work of His hands.” (Psalm 19:1).
3- That the couples memorize the word and speak it, “I have hidden your words in my heart, that I
might not sin against you” (Psalm 119:11).
H.H referred to the characteristics of the word of our Lord through Psalm 19
-“The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul”, it restores man from his loss.

“The testimonies of the Lord are true, making a fool wise.” It gives a person the appropriate word in their time.

“The commandments of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart.” The commandment rejoices Man’s heart.

“The command of the Lord is pure and enlightens the eyes”, gives Man a spirit of discernment in life situations.

“The fear of the Lord is pure, steadfast forever.” The fear of our Lord keeps faithfulness inside the house.
“The ordinances of the Lord are true and just, in all of them.” God’s word is facts and promises.

“More delicious than gold and a lot of fine crystal, and sweeter than honey and drop of witness,” the word of God is sweet.
Then H.H raised a question, what happens when the word of God is neglected?
1- A person forgets a commandment and breaks it and takes it lightly.
2- Deviation and fall becomes easy, and the person loses the source of education.
3- Loss and destruction of the house.
This educational series comes in line with the launch of the “My Family is Holy” year, which came as a recommendation from the Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church in its plenary session, which was held on June 9, and in the consolidation of the principles and values of a normal Christian family, as H.H mentioned in the first episode of the series on 15 last June.
