The Coptic Orthodox Church headed by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Farewells on the Hope of Resurrection the Egyptian Scientist Doctor Rashad Barsoum, Professor of Kidney Diseases and Transplantation and the Head of Cairo Center for Kidney Diseases. He is also the founder of Kasr Al-Aini Center for Kidney Diseases and Dialysis in Cairo University and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Egyptian National Board, winner of many local and international awards due to his great contributions in his field. Who also received “Pope Shenouda’s Award for Wisdom and Sympathy” from the Coptic Orthodox Church.
We farewell him after his journey which was full of professional and humanitarian giving, where he showed a live example of patriotism, where he always lived and wanted to stay in his country to help his people and treat them.
We also remember his love to the Church and the different services he offered whether in secret or in public, with the utmost sincerity and tenderness with humility.
We believe that he is now resting in peace, leaving behind his good deeds, like the man with five talents, hearing the Lord saying: “Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”(Matthew 25:21)
Our condolences to the country and all the professional organisations he had worked in and a special condolence to his family and all his lovers.
