Today, H.H. honoured 23 families whose sons and daughters have hearing disabilities, as part of the activities of the Church’s celebration of Family Day.
This was during the weekly Wednesday meeting of His Holiness, which was held this evening at the Church of the Virgin Mary and St. Bishoy in St. Mark’s Cathedral in Abbaseya.
The “Listen to me” team, consisting of people with hearing disabilities, presented two hymns and asked to take pictures with His Holiness, with the participation of their families, servants that are affiliated with the Hope Center in the Church of the Virgin Mary in Ard El Golf, Heliopolis.
His Holiness referred to the great efforts of servants in this service in general, as well as in arranging for today’s celebration.
His Holiness warned against consanguineous marriage and the need to raise awareness of genetic diseases resulting from this marriage before the marriage of those intending to get married, and the importance of reading reports issued by the National Research Center that monitors the health risks resulting from consanguineous marriage.
