Today (Thursday), the Convent of Prince Theodore of Shotep in Haret El Roum (Cairo) witnessed the ordination of 15 novices by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.

His Holiness arrived early this morning, and was welcomed by the convent’s head nun; Tamav Adrossis and some nuns. His Holiness prayed the ordination on the following novices:
-Nun Eliana
-Nun Ogai
-Nun Theophila
-Nun Mora
-Nun Parosia
-Nun Palamona
-Nun Jeroma
-Nun Fabiola
-Nun Bavlina
-Nun Ogania
-Nun Sogina
-Nun Abahora
-Nun Laura
-Nun Davida
-Nun Clara

Participating in the prayers were the pontiffs of the church; His Eminence Metropolitan Daniel (Metropolitan of Maadi and Secretary of the Holy Synod), His Grace Bishop Daniel (Bishop and Abbot of St Paul’s Monastery in the Red Sea and the Head of the Monastic and Monastery Affairs Committee of the Holy Synod), His Grace Bishop Marcus (Bishop of Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh, and El-Barary), a number of head nuns of Cairo’s convents and the nuns of Prince Theodore’s convent.
