His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo today, Thursday, a delegation from the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), that includes Mr. Joachim Schmitz, Executive Director of the club in Munich, Germany, Mr. Sami Jeremiah Nashed, General Secretary of the YMCA Egypt Clubs, and Ms. Marian Azmy, Member of the Board of Directors of the YMCA Shubra Club.
Also Mr. Fadi Krikor, joined the delegation, who is the Founder and President of the Organization of “The Father’s House for Allah Nations”.

His Holiness the Pope welcomed his guests and spoke to them about Egypt’s distinction among the countries of the world, and how the Nile River unites Egyptians of all walks of life.

During the meeting, ways of joint cooperation between YMCA clubs around the world and the Coptic Orthodox Church were also discussed.

The meeting was attended by Fr. Rafaeel Tharwat, Deputy Bishop of Public and Social Services, and Monk Fr. Lazarus Al-Muharraqi, Program Development Consultant in the Services Bishopric.
