His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received at the papal residence in Cairo today, Monday, Dr. Noria Sanz, Ambassador of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Egypt.

The ambassador conveyed to His Holiness the Pope the greetings of the head of the organization and UNESCO’s interest in the groundwater problem in the archaeological area of “Abu Mina” adjacent to St. Mina’s Monastery, King Mariout, as well as interest in everything related to the Coptic heritage, the restoration of the Coptic Museum, and the Holy Family Path
