H.H. Pope Tawadros II sent a telegram to the President of the Senate, Counselor Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razeq, congratulating His Excellency and the members of the Senate on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha,in which he said:

On my own behalf and in the name of the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church, I am pleased to extend to you and to all members of your esteemed council my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha. I pray for God to bless you with health and grant you success in further progressing and elevating the legislative institution, in order to uphold the general interest of the nation and its citizens, and the fulfillment of all national hopes and ambitions.

May you always be under God’s protection and care.
