H.H. Pope Tawadros II congratulated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha.
His Holiness sent a congratulatory telegram on this occasion, in which he said:

President of the Arab Republic of Egypt

On my own behalf and in the name of the Egyptian Coptic Orthodox Church, I am pleased to extend to Your Excellency and to all our beloved Muslims my most sincere congratulations on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha. We ask God to aid your efforts in developing the country and confronting the various dangers and challenges surrounding Egypt, regarding which we trust the wisdom of your management. We pray for God to bless all that your hands extend to for building our dear homeland, Egypt, and the fulfillment of the hopes of the Egyptians. May you always be preserved by God’s care, and may there be goodness, security and safety for our beloved Egypt and its great people.
