This morning, H.H. Pope Tawadros II met with the leaders for the youth servive in Alexandria at the Papal Residence in St. Mark’s Cathedral in Alexandria.
Father Dawood Wadie (the responsible person for this group of leaders) presented their future vision through the monitoring of reality, in order to develop an action plan to overcome obstacles and solve modern day problems facing young people. A number of important topics were also discussed, including:
• The four pastoral sectors of Alexandria nominated a number of distinguished youth to represent the sector, and communicate with the leaders and bishops in order to facilitate youth service matters.
• Encouraging service through the practise of various sports in a spiritual atmosphere, especially football.
• How to utilise podcasts to quickly reach and communicate with young people.
• Preparing for meetings and forums for the youth of Alexandria, similar to international youth forums.
The meeting was attended by the General Bishops supervising the pastoral sectors in Alexandria, and Father Abraam Emil (Deputy General of the Patriarchate in Alexandria).
