This evening (Saturday) H.H. Pope Tawadros II visited El-Baramous Monastery in Wadi El-Natroun, as part of the monastery’s celebrations of the feast of its saints; Saint Moses the Strong and Saint Anba Isidore, known as the “Priest of the Scetes Desert,” whose feasts the Church will celebrate after two days (Monday 1st of July).
Upon his arrival at the monastery, His Holiness was welcomed by His Grace Anba Isizorous, bishop and abbot of the monastery and its monks. His Holiness went to the ancient church and prayed the Prayer of Thanksgiving, before annointing the two tubes containing the bodies of the celebrated saints, with the participation of bishops.
After the anointing, Pope Tawadros visited a number of the monastery’s facilities.
