Today (Tuesday) H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo, His Grace Bishop Gabriel, Bishop of Austria and the German-speaking sector of Switzerland, and with him the new Austrian ambassador to Cairo, Mr. Georg Postinger. It was an opportunity for them to get to know each other. They spoke about Egypt, the Coptic Church and its spread throughout the world, and the visits of His Holiness to Austria.

The meeting was attended and translated by Mr. Manuel Bagdi, advisor to Cardinal Christoph Schönborn (Archbishop of Austria). It was also attended by monk Father Kyrillos Anba Bishoy (Director of the Office of His Holiness), Father Philopateer Nabih (Secretary of His Holiness for Diaspora Affairs), and Deacon Joseph Reda (Deacon of His Holiness).
