H.H. Pope Tawadros II called for prayers for the new ministers, governors and their deputies who were sworn in today following the announcement of the ministerial formation and the moving of the governors.
This came at the conclusion of his sermon during His Holiness’ weekly Wednesday meeting, which he held this evening at St George’s Church in El-Shatby; Alexandria.
Pope Tawadros highlighted that the work of the minister or governor is a difficult job with challenges, asking for God to give the new ministers strength, support and success, and for God to grant the ministers who are continuing in their positions a new spirit and mind in the completion of their work.
He added: “We remember with goodness the ministers who left the ministry, who carried out their work and gave their utmost for the sake of our country being in peace, security and stability despite the challenges and crises.”
His Holiness also asked for prayers for the new governors, each in his governorate, pointing out that each governorate has its own nature and facilities, which are sometimes limited. He added: “May God strengthen them and grant them support, insightful thought, and the spirit of innovation and creativity, as well as the deputy governors and deputy ministers who represent the second row.”
Pope Tawadros concluded: “May God protect us all and preserve our country in peace.”
