Today (Tuesday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II met at the Papal Residence in Cairo, with His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef, Metropolitan of the South of the United States of America, who was accompanied by the “HOPE” group. They are Copts residing in the United States of America, serving in the field of medical, educational and development services, under the supervision of His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef. They came to Egypt to provide some of these services.

His Eminence Metropolitan Youssef thanked His Holiness Pope Tawadros for his keeness to meet the group. His Holiness gave them a talk, answered their questions, and presented them with some souvenirs.

It is worth noting that the visits of service groups coming from our churches abroad to serve in Egypt are carried out in coordination with the “HIGH” office, which specializes in communication between the dioceses of the Coptic Church abroad and the areas most in need of service in the dioceses within Egypt. This is the office issued by a decision of the Holy Synod in its last session in March 2024. The office’s name is “HIGH”, an abbreviation of its slogan (Hands in God’s Hand).
