Today, H.H. Pope Tawadros II visited the headquarters of the Alexandria Governorate to congratulate Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled on assuming his new position as Governor of Alexandria.

His Holiness arrived at the governorate building along with the accompanying delegation, and was received by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, engineer Amira Salah Abdel Hakim, deputy governor, and Major General Khaled Gomaa, secretary general of the governorate,

Pope Tawadros congratulated Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled on assuming the position of Governor of Alexandria, wishing him success in his new mission.

His Holiness also listened to the new governor’s vision on the issues related to the future of the governorate.

During the visit, Pope Tawadros was accompanied by the general bishops supervising the pastoral sectors in Alexandria, Father Abraam Emil (the general deputy of the Patriarchate in Alexandria), and Monk Father Kyrillos St. Bishoy, director of His Holiness the Pope’s office.
