This morning, H.H. Pope Tawadros II held a meeting at the Papal Residence in Alexandria with the wives of the departed priests of the churches of Alexandria.

His Holiness expressed his happiness at this joyful meeting and praised these ladies for devoting their lives to service with their priest husbands. His Holiness listened to the experiences of these women during the lives of their husbands, as well as those after their departure to heaven.

At the end of the meeting, the ladies expressed their happiness over this encounter with Pope Tawadros and his constant care for all matters related to them and their families. His Holiness then had a meal with them distributed gifts to them.

The meeting was attended by the General Bishops supervising the pastoral sectors in Alexandria, and Hegumen Abraam Emil (General Deputy of the Patriarchate in Alexandria).
