Today (Monday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, Ambassador Mohamed Nasr, the new Egyptian Ambassador to Austria.

His Holiness congratulated the ambassador on assuming his new position. The dialogue between them revolved around the vital role of the Coptic Orthodox Church in Austria, and the importance of the communication of the people of Egypt abroad with their home country. The Coptic Church is keen to promote this through several mechanisms, including inviting its children abroad to visit Egypt to implement a tourism program to visit its landmarks, and also coordinate programs through which various services are provided to the community.
