Today (Monday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received at the Papal Residence in Cairo, members of the Church delegation traveling to Russia at the invitation of the Russian Orthodox Church, within the framework of the activities of the Joint Relations Committee between the two Churches.

It is worth noting that in past years, through the committee, delegations from the two Churches were exchanged to visit the other Church, where monasteries, churches and educational institutions were visited, in order to learn about the monastic, pastoral, educational and service heritage and traditions between the two Churches. Abbots of monasteries, metropolitans, bishops, monks, nuns, deacons, academics, and male and female servants from the two Churches were received in the context of this purpose.
