Today (Friday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, His Eminence Metropolitan Qais Sadiq, Metropolitan of Erzurum, Assistant Bishop to the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch, and Head of the Center for Ecumenical Studies in Amman. He was accompanied by His Holiness the Most High Priest Father Youssef Darouss, pastor of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Archangels in El-Daher.

His Holiness the Pope welcomed his guest, expressing his wishes for him to have an enjoyable visit to Egypt. He asked about His Beatitude Patriarch John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East.

The meeting was also attended by Dr. Girgis Saleh, Honorary Secretary General of the Middle East Council of Churches, and Coordinator of Relations with the Eastern Orthodox Churches, and Deacon Joseph Reda, Deacon of H.H. Pope Tawadros.
