On Saturday evening, H.H. Pope Tawadros II, opened the Fourth LOGOS Coptic Youth Forum for the Youth of the Coptic Orthodox Church, at the LOGOS Center in St Bishoy’s Monastery; Wadi Natroun. This year, the Forum’s theme is: “Take a Step.” Male and female youth from the dioceses of the See of St. Mark within Egypt are the participants. They were nominated by the metropolitans and bishops of these dioceses.

This year, the Fourth LOGOS Forum discusses four topics, under its theme: “Take a Step”:
1- Towards God
2- Towards yourself and understanding it
3- Towards your society and your responsibility towards it
4- Towards your Coptic identity

A number of metropolitans, bishops and priests participated in the opening ceremony.

Since its beginning in 2018, the LOGOS Coptic Youth Forum have embraced young people from all the dioceses of the Coptic Orthodox Church outside and within Egypt. “Returning to the Roots” is the slogan for the youth from outside Egypt, whilst that of the youth forums for those from within is “Enjoying the Roots.”

LOGOS Youth Forums aim to instil the spirit of joy in a practical way in the souls of young people, who are the future of the Church, and to train them to come into contact with the love of Christ amid the pressures and preoccupations they face in their daily lives. This is in addition to enjoying the roots of our Church and our country, Egypt.
