Today (Friday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II held a meeting at the Papal Residence in Cairo, with H.G. Bishop Gawargious, Bishop of the Diocese of Mattay in Minya Governorate. This was in the presence of the Secretariat of the Holy Synod: H.E. Metropolitan Danial, Metropolitan of Maadi and the Secretary General, and the assistant secretaries: H.G. Bishop Gabriel, Bishop of Beni Suef, and H.G. Bishop Yolyoys, General Bishop of Old Cairo and the Bishopric of Services.

The meeting was also attended by H.E. Metropolitan Bakhoum, Metropolitan of Sohag, Manshah and Maragha, and the Head of the Diocesan Affairs Committee.

During the meeting, some pastoral issues related to the Diocese of Mattay and its affiliated regions were discussed.
