Today (Thursday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received H.G. Bishop Abanoub, the General Bishop, at the Papal Residence in Cairo. During the meeting, Bishop Abanoub offered an apology for his actions. Following a fatherly conversation by His Holiness, Bishop Abanoub pledged to fully adhere to his pastoral responsibilities as a General Bishop.

The meeting was attended by H.E. Metropolitan Antonious, Metropolitan of Jerusalem and H.G. Bishop Theodosius, Bishop of Central Giza.
