H.H. Pope Tawadros II extended his congratulations to the Western Churches, which will celebrate Christmas next week (25th of December), noting that the Coptic Church celebrates Christmas on 29th of Kiahk according to the Coptic calendar. He wished for the new year to be a blessed one.

This came at the conclusion of his sermon during the weekly Wednesday Meeting, held this evening at the Church of Virgin Mary and St. Pope Kyrillos VI in Aghakhan, part of the Northern Shoubra churches district.

His Holiness also announced the suspension of the Wednesday Meeting in light of the upcoming feasts and events, stating that the meetings will resume at the start of the Great Lent (Wednesday 27th of February 2025).
