Today (Wednesday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received a delegation of students from Philopateer School in Mississauga, part of the Diocese of Mississauga, Vancouver, and Western Canada, at the Papal Residence in Cairo. The delegation was accompanied by some members of the teaching staff and had come to Egypt to undertake various visits.
His Holiness welcomed them, wishing them a fruitful time in their homeland, Egypt. He spoke to them about Egypt, highlighting its rich history, unique geographical location, the distinguished history of the Coptic Church and its influence on the Christian world through theological education and monasticism.
It is worth noting that Philopateer School is a leading educational institution established by the Coptic community in North America. It has been recognized as the best private school in Mississauga for five consecutive years due to its commitment to providing a professional level of education.
