H.H. Pope Tawadros II met with a group of youth from the Church of Saint Mary and Saints Cosman and Demian (Diocese of Sydney, Australia), accompanied by Hegumen Father Joshua Tadros, a priest in the same diocese. They came to Egypt to provide some educational and developmental services to several churches in Alexandria, Beheira and Cairo.
His Holiness praised their keenness to provide services to their brethren in Egypt. He spoke to them through the Parable of the Talents about the possibilities and abilities that God provides a person with. These are:
-time
-love
-praise
-the holy word (Bible)
-the Church
Pope Tawadros then answered their questions, and discussed with them some of the topics raised.
It is worth noting that the group’s visit took place in coordination with the “HIGH” office, which specializes in communication between the dioceses of the Coptic Church abroad and the areas most in need of service in the dioceses within Egypt. It is the office for which a decision was issued by the Holy Synod at its last session in March 2024. The office bears the name “HIGH” which is an abbreviation for its slogan: “Hands in God’s Hand.”
