His Holiness Pope Tawadros II received Dr. Khaled El-Anany, candidate for the presidency of UNESCO, today at the Papal Residence in Cairo.

During the meeting, Dr. El-Anany presented a detailed explanation of his electoral program, emphasizing the full support of the Egyptian state for his candidacy. He also sought the blessings and prayers of His Holiness for this endeavor.

Pope Tawadros expressed his full support for Dr. El-Anany, highlighting that the world today suffers from a lack of love, partially due to the impact of technology and social media, which have reduced direct human interaction.

He stressed the importance of instilling the values of love in young people from an early age, focusing on love for God, love for one’s country, love for humanity, love for nature, and love for heaven.

At the end of the meeting, His Holiness wished Dr. El-Anany success in his mission, expressing confidence that he would represent Egypt honorably on the international stage.
