Today (Wednesday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II visited the Secured and Smart Issuances Complex, where he was received by Major General Engineer Ahmed Abdel Salam, the complex’s CEO, along with its leadership team.
At the beginning of the visit, a documentary about the complex was presented, followed by a guided tour where His Holiness received a comprehensive explanation of the various stages of document production, secured issuances, smart cards, and identity cards for university students and other institutions of different types and uses.
Pope Tawadros expressed his admiration for this massive technological establishment, which represents a significant leap in the field of documents and smart cards. He praised the high level of production, which is carried out using the latest quality control techniques, as well as the high efficiency demonstrated by all employees across the complex’s various departments.
His Holiness emphasized that having such projects in Egypt is a source of pride, especially since many countries in the region rely on the complex to supply them with the necessary documents and smart cards. He also commended Egypt’s strategic vision and future planning under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, highlighting the state’s commitment to projects that drive the nation toward a promising future.
The Secured and Smart Issuances Complex is the largest technological establishment of its kind in Africa and the Middle East.
