On Wednesday, H.H. Pope Tawadros II met at the Papal Residence in Cairo with a group of servants from the Coptic Orthodox Church in Spain. They were accompanied by the monk Father Makar Anba Paula who serves there. The group traveled to Egypt to provide educational and social services to several churches in Upper Egypt and presented a report on their activities to His Holiness.
Pope Tawadros encouraged them, praised their efforts, and spoke to them about the verse: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
He highlighted the importance of the phrase “that whoever believes in Him should not perish,” emphasizing that the world is in great need of those who serve and meet the needs of others.
It is worth noting that the visit of the church servants from Spain was coordinated with the “HIGH” office, which facilitates communication between Coptic Orthodox dioceses abroad and the areas in Egypt most in need of service. This office was established by a decision of the Holy Synod in its session in March 2024 and carries the name “HIGH,” which stands for: “Hands in God’s Hand.”
