Today (Friday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II met at the Papal Residence in Cairo with the fourth-year daytime division students of St. Rwis Theological Seminary. The meeting was attended by His Grace Bishop Makary, General Bishop of the Churches of Southern Shoubra and the seminary’s deputy, along with the Monk Father Yakoubos St. Bishoy, the spiritual supervisor of the seminary students.
At the beginning of the meeting, H.H. congratulated the students on their upcoming graduation, praising their academic journey and their readiness to bear the responsibility of service. He then spoke to them about the importance of ministry in the Church, emphasizing that the call to serve is a divine one that requires faithfulness and holy zeal. He also stressed the importance of preparing qualified students through pursuing postgraduate studies, which contributes to enhancing the level of theological education and meeting the current needs of the Church.
This meeting comes as part of His Holiness’s ongoing commitment to providing direct pastoral care to seminary students and his keenness to support and encourage them in their future endeavors.
