Today (Thursday), H.H. Pope Tawadros II received the Governor of South Sinai, Major General Dr. Khaled Mubarak, at the Papal Residence in Cairo, in the presence of H.G. Bishop Apollo, Bishop of South Sinai.

His Holiness welcomed his guest, expressing his appreciation for Sinai as one of the blessed spots in the land of Egypt, where God manifested Himself on Mount Moses.

For his part, the Governor expressed his deep appreciation for the national role played by Pope Tawadros, affirming that the Egyptian Church will always remain one of the most important pillars of national unity and coexistence in Egypt, through the message of love and peace it carries.
