The Coptic Orthodox Church of Egypt, headed by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, extends its congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the 43rd anniversary of the liberation of beloved Sinai.

On this great occasion, we feel immense pride in the success of Egyptian diplomacy in reclaiming the entirety of Sinai, after it was liberated by the blood of the martyrs of the Egyptian army in the October 1973 War. Our pride is further deepened by the recent accomplishments of the Egyptian state in Sinai, including infrastructure development and major national projects that contribute to fulfilling the hopes of the Egyptian people at large, meeting the aspirations of the people of Sinai in particular, and investing in the blessings and advantages that God has bestowed upon this precious part of Egypt.

We pray that God preserves our country, Egypt, in all its lands, and grants it continued stability and progress.
