Onboard the flight to Poland in the early hours of this morning, a group of young men and women from the Church traveling on the same journey were surprised to find His Holiness Pope Tawadros II among the passengers. His Holiness was on the flight to begin his pastoral visit to Central Europe.

The youth quickly gathered around him, seeking his blessing and a few encouraging words as they journey through life abroad. True to his warm and fatherly nature, His Holiness responded with a smile and heartfelt attention, extending his hand to bless each one individually. He took the time to ask each of them their names, where they live, and what they do, then invited them to sit close and enjoy a friendly conversation.

His Holiness offered them words of encouragement, saying: “Wherever you go, be a light. Keep your love for your homeland and your Church, and open your hearts to the Lord every day.” The conversation continued in a warm, personal atmosphere, and the youth captured memorable photos with His Holiness, commemorating an unforgettable “coincidence” and a heartfelt moment of connection in a truly fatherly setting.
