A church delegation today offered condolences on behalf of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II for the passing of Pope Francis I of the Vatican. This took place during a Liturgy held on Saturday morning at Saint Joseph Church in downtown Cairo, coinciding with the funeral of the late Pope in Saint Peter’s Square at the Vatican.

His Eminence Metropolitan Daniel, Metropolitan of Maadi and Secretary of the Holy Synod delivered a eulogy on behalf of His Holiness Pope Tawadros II.

The delegation, led by H.E. Metropolitan Daniel, included Their Graces: Bishop Ermia, General Bishop, Bishop Yolios, General Bishop of Old Cairo and the Bishopric of Services, Bishop Angelos, General Bishop for the Churches of Northern Shubra Sector, Bishop Eklemandos, General Bishop for the Churches of Almaza, Al-Amal City, and East Nasr City.
