Today (Monday), H.H. Pope Leo XIV met with the official delegation of the Coptic Orthodox Church assigned to attend his inauguration ceremony.
The new Pope of the Vatican received today, at the Apostolic Palace in Vatican City, numerous delegations from various Churches and countries who attended the inauguration, which was held yesterday in St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.
The Coptic delegation offered congratulations to H.H. Pope Leo on behalf of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
H.H. Pope Tawadros II had appointed a delegation that included Their Graces: Bishop Barnaba, Bishop of Turin and Rome, Bishop Damian, Bishop of Northern Germany and Abbot of the Monastery of the Virgin Mary and Saint Maurice in Höxter, Bishop Marc, Bishop of Paris and Northern France, and Bishop Kyrillos, General Bishop of Los Angeles, to attend the inauguration and convey congratulations.
